Rachel Laity

Rachel left Fowey School in 2003 and attended College on a Legal Secretarial course for 2 years.

Rachel was initially employed by Ultra Training as a trainee administrator and was given a new role as a Training Advisor.  This role involved interviewing young people interested in apprenticeship training and helping them to find suitable placements. She also contacts employers encouraging them to offer apprenticeship training within their organisation and keeps documentation of the various stages of the process. She attends schools careers evenings and presentations and also liaises with the various Connexions personnel throughout the South West.  She has achieved Apprenticeship qualifications in Administration and Customer Service and has progressed to Advanced Apprenticeship in Customer Service.

Rachel was a runner up in the South West region Apprenticeship of the Year Award in 2007.
