Caroline ShearAfter leaving Brannels school in St Stephen in 1997 with 10 GCSEs I went to Duchy College where I obtained a BVNA in Pre-Veterinary Nursing and an NVQ Level 2 in Animal Care.

In 1999, I started worked at a veterinary surgery in Newquay as a Pre-Veterinary Nurse but left because there were no opportunities to progress. On moving to St Austell in 2000, I began work as a Care Assistant at Clinton House Care Home where I completed the following qualifications with Ultra Work Based Learning - Level 2 Apprenticeship in Care in August 2001 (taking only 6 months), Level
3 Apprenticeship in Care in October 2002 (taking only 8 months), Level 2 Apprenticeship in Customer Service in September 2003 (taking only 4 months) and Registered Managers Award (NVQ Level 4) and my Vocational Assessors Award in January 2004 (taking only 3 and 5 months respectively).

I am currently studying for my Diploma in Nursing (Adult) at Plymouth University and on completion in 2007, I plan to become a Theatre Nurse at Treliske Hospital in Truro.
