Clare Bardell

Clare left school in 1999 with A-C grades in GCSEs. She started working in a small retail outlet later moving to Birmingham International Airport then to John Lewis.

In 2004 Clare moved to Devon and started bar work at The Agricultural Inn in Braunton.  With the encouragement of her Ultra assessor she started an FMA qualification in Bar Service completed this in December 2005.  She has since progressed to an AMA in Hospitality Supervision and this should be completed soon.

Other qualifications Clare has achieved with Ultra are Intermediate and Advanced Food Hygiene and Health and Safety, Customer Matter, Intermediate First Line Management and the National Certificate in Personal Licenceholders.   This last qualification is required for anyone managing a pub.  

Clare now managers the pub and restaurant dealing with all aspect of running the business.

Clare has achieved some of her goals by successfully completing qualifications, which will be a passport for future career moves.  She hopes to continue to continue with Management training and will be looking into the options available when she has completed her present course.
