John Selby

After leaving Poltair School in 2001 John continued in further education and achieved an NVQ in IT.  Because he was very quiet and lacking in confidence he started a Preparatory Training scheme and Ultra found him a supportive employer,

Powellcraft, with whom he eventually started Apprenticeship training in Warehousing.  His employer supported and encouraged him throughout his training.

John completed the following qualification with Ultra: FMA Warehousing, AMA Distributive Operations and NVQ Team Leading.  Also Key Skills Level 2 in IT, Application of Number, Communication, Problem Solving and Working with Others.

John’s duties included all aspect of warehousing, storekeeping and delivering orders.  He attends Trade Fairs in various regions of the country meeting buyers from all parts of England and Europe and this gives him the opportunity to meet the customers whose order he is processing.
