I want to express my thoughts and opinions of the CACHE level 3 certificate in Early Years Foundation Stage Practice course which several members of my staff are undertaking at the moment. The course has been a good introduction into the new documents and procedures set out in the guidance.

My staff have already been looking at their practice and have changed some areas of practice to improve our setting.

The benefits of this course are already showing and my staff are motivated and keen to develop their ideas and have carried out several observations and assessments to support their learning and development.

It was also good that the training was done in house, being easier to manage staff ratios and more supportive to the staff.  I am sure similar training is available but this is the best way for our organisation to train large numbers of staff without causing disruption.

I feel this course has enabled us to deliver the new guidance in the best way possible and has made us reflect on our practice and develop plans for the future.
