100% pass rate for Ultra students
16 September 2004
Great News! Employees from a number of key South West businesses including Crantock Bakery, who recently completed the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health’s (CIEH’s) Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate course and the City & Guilds NVQ course in Food Manufacturing with Ultra Work Based Learning, achieved a 100% success rate.
In fact, two students on the Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate course – Mr Gareth Sorsby, Bar Superviser at The Headland Hotel, Newquay and Mrs Tonia Smith, Quality Assurance Patroller at Crantock Bakery, Indian Queens - were awarded Credit Passes for achieving marks in excess of 85%. Excellent results indeed!
At a special presentation held at Crantock Bakery’s Head Office on 9th September, Ultra Work Based Learning’s Managing Director, David Ham, presented the successful students with their framed certificates and congratulated them on their achievement. The presentation was covered in a recent issue of The Cornish Guardian.
David Sullivan, Factory Manager at Crantock Bakery said “ Having personally completed courses with Ultra Work Based Learning I have found that they fulfill Crantock Bakery’s staff training needs and we hope to be working with them again to give our employees the chance to benefit from additional qualifications. I would definitely encourage other South West businesses to do the same.”
