Torquay Herald Express Company Profile
10 November 2004
The Torquay Herald Express published a Company Profile featuring Ultra Work Based Learning on 10th November.
This company profile has been published to highlight the fact that Ultra has been awarded funding to help Devon’s small and medium sized businesses develop the skills of their managers and employees through an extensive range of training programmes, free of any costs.
These training programmes are funded through the local Learning and Skills Council (LSC) and European Social Fund (ESF) and cover a wide range of skill levels and occupational sectors such as hospitality & catering, health & social care (including childcare), retail, customer service, food & drink manufacturing, hairdressing and many more.
This same funding also enables Ultra to run a comprehensive programme of short courses, again free of charge, such as the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health’s Foundation and Intermediate Food Hygiene and Health & Safety certificates and the Health & Safety Executive’s First Aid At Work – all of which lead to nationally recognised qualifications. Full details of these short courses are available by clicking here.
Ultra has already established excellent working relationships with a number of key employers within Devon helping them to develop their competitive advantage by enhancing the skills and motivation of their employees. Amongst these employers are Endsleigh Garden & Leisure at Ivybridge, The Imperial and Grand Hotels in Torquay and Living Coasts in Torquay. In celebration of the awarding of this new funding, the following photograph, featuring some of Ultra’s local team and their learners, was taken at Living Coasts, Torquay.
Many Devon employers have already taken advantage of this marvellous opportunity to deliver free work based training to their employees. Ultra can do the same for your business – all you need to do is pick up the telephone and call 0870 745 1101.
